A Case of Inguinal Hernia Cured with Homoeopathic Remedy-Thuja Occidentalis

An inguinal hernia is a protrusion of abdominal-cavity contents through the inguinal canal. This may include pain or discomfort especially with coughing, exercise, or bowel movement. In children, a hernia present as bulges in the groin area which become more prominent and protrudes during muscular stretching like coughing, crying, straining, or standing up; getting worse throughout and feels better while resting. In the present case, a male child aged one and a half years old presented with swelling of left testicle on 30/5/2016. He had been suffering from the complaint since 2 months. According to the child’s mother, the swelling got worse on passing stool, urinating and while crying. By considering symptoms, mental generals and particulars; Homeopathic remedy Thuja Occidentalis was given. The complaints got cleared and there were no recurrence after 18-6-2016.
