Endovascular Treatment of Iliac Artery Stenosis in Patients with Renal Transplant and Pelvic Ectopic Kidney: Rare Two Cases

Management of iliac stenosis in an ectopic pelvic kidney and renal transplantation is challenging. The stent implantation of iliac arteries in patients with functioning renal transplant and ectopic pelvic kidneys is critical because it is important to avoid ischemic and reperfusion injury to the kidney. Endovascular intervention avoids aortic cross clamping and can prevent renal ischemia. Here we report the endovascular management of iliac stenosis in two patients with renal transplant and pelvic ectopic kidney. Two patients underwent balloon expandable iliac stenting using a small amount of contrast due to decreased renal function
